LET'S GET MESSY CAMPS
(JUNe-AUGust)
Camps are for children ages 3-6
Camps are intended to offer an open-ended, exploratory, fun and hands on experience for young children over the summer. Daily opportunities involve painting, digging, going on nature scavenger hunts, building, drawing, getting wet, playing with friends, beading, dancing and exploring. A great deal of time is spent outside, weather permitting.
Camps are taught by The Morningside School’s teachers who are experienced and caring educators. Regular activities will be supplemented by experiences based on the children’s interests as well as endeavors that the teachers feel might offer the children opportunities to expand their reach and understanding of the natural and outdoor world.
Camp Details
Morning Camp Hours: Daily, 8:30am-12:30pm.
“Long Day” Hours: Non-nappers have an option to stay until 3:30pm.
Camp runs M-F.
We ask that campers are fully out of diapers and are 3 years old by June 1st
Group Size is 12-14 children with two teachers.
Campers bring snack and lunch.
Cost:
M-F Morning Schedule: $250/week
Morning and afternoon (until 3:30) $440/week
Half payment is due at time of registration to ensure space. Remainder of payment is due by June 1st

Adventure Camps
Exploration for ages 5-9
Adventure camps are designed for children ages 5-9 who enjoy exploring and learning about the world around them. Camp will meet each day at a trail head into Carolina North and Bolin Forest. The group of 12 kids and two teachers will have a short gathering to plan the day and then head out to explore Bolin Creek, nearby natural areas or “secret hideouts” around Carrboro,
During the adventures there will be a great deal of exploration and discovery time, as well as time for for group games, whittling, building with clay and other art projects. Children will help document our adventures through drawings and photographs.

Counselors In Training (CIT) and Teachers Helpers Ages 8-13
TEACHERS HELPERS TRAINING WILL HAPPEN On a Saturday or weekday afternoon based on all participants schedules.
This program is for older children who are interested in a volunteer opportunity working with young children.
Teacher’s Helpers are ages 8-10 and CIT’s are ages 11-13. Helpers and CIT’s over 10 years old can help with LGM or Adventure Camp. 8 and 9 year olds will help at Let’s Get Messy. Please read all about this exciting program by clicking the button below.
